The six pillars, made tangible

Rehman’s Cube™

A place to begin.
A piece at a time.

A conceptual educational model developed in 2025 by Arshad Rehman, MD, to explore the Six Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine through a hands-on, visual experience.

01 / Find a starting point

When life feels like a scrambled cube.

Chronic disease, unhealthy habits, and competing priorities can make the puzzle feel overwhelming. The cube starts with a simple idea: good health is built on six foundational habits. Understanding them gives us a way to approach change, one step at a time.

  • Nutrition
  • Movement
  • Sleep
  • Stress management
  • Connection
  • Avoid harmful substances

02 / Make room for change

Individual blocks.
Intentional choices.

Unlike a traditional cube, Rehman’s Cube™ is built from individual building blocks. Each represents a lifestyle choice that can be removed, adjusted, and replaced.

The model illustrates how lasting habits can grow through small, intentional changes that accumulate over time. It leaves room to revisit a choice and try a different approach, without expecting perfection.

03 / Put understanding into practice

A conversation you can hold in your hands.

The cube invites curiosity and discussion. It helps people visualize how a change in one area can relate to the other foundations of health.

Choose one pillar you would like to understand better. Discuss how it fits into your life and what a small, manageable change might look like. This is an educational model, with space for your own questions and circumstances.
